The Boston Celtics clamped the Toronto Raptors on New Year’s Eve. It was the best defensive performance we’ve seen from the franchise since 2012. I’ve still not seen that game. I spent the past two days with family, and I had internet maintenance before going into recording this show.
SO, I played a little Q&A with Billy about some of the higher-level discussion points from the game. From there, we looked at tonight’s matchup against the Timberwolves and the wider three-game stretch on the horizon.
Can Jayson Tatum have a strong three-game run to increase his argument for MVP? He will be facing Anthony Edwards and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander over the next few days and will have a game against Ime Udoka, who has turned the Rockets into a genuinely tough team.
Billy and I are still building a rhythm on this show, but I’m incredibly excited about the direction we’re heading in and the ideas we have to keep scaling this thing!
