I think the question of “will the Celtics be too reliant on the 3” will exist as long as this team does. They know their identity, and it’s to shoot 3’s. They’re not gonna change that if they start missing

Totally agree. I think a big part of it is based on the narrative from last season, where they were over-reliant. In my opinion, their perimeter-based offense is fine as long as they're willing to switch things up when shots aren't falling or the defense is adjusting - we've seen the team do both of those things this season.

Still, when you shoot a bunch of threes in the opening game of the playoffs, I think it's fair to have some concerns, haha.

Thanks Adam! The actions section at the end was great. Having the clips makes it a lot easier to learn plays, vs when I try to read a typical coach's X and Os diagram.

As for "Too reliant on 3s", I'm not a fan of that used exclusively against us. I think most modern teams are more "reliant" on 3s. This season we're 4W 12L when shooting 3s under 30%. Turns out the rest of the league is very similar:

DEN 4W 11L

OKC 4W 11L

MIN 3W 5L <-have most games shooting >30%

NYK 3W 8L

DAL 4-11

IND 4-15

LAL 7-7 <- makes sense since they rely on paint points

ORL 5-16 <- rough since they also rely on paint points lol

CLE 4-10
