As usual, a great overview Adam. Pulling for Walker to be another diamond find for Brad as well as X. hoping we find a big behind Al & KP. need a young mobile against Orlando & Indiana
Do you think Kornet's wrist is the reason he stopped shooting 3's or is that just a shift in how the Celtics want him to play? I'm not sure which wrist it is or when the injury originally occurred but I'm curious why he just removed that from his game?
This is a good question! Considering Kornet stopped taking 3s (for the most part) in 2021, when he joined the C's, I'm not sure his wrist injury had much to do with it -- unless he's been dealing with the injury for years. I think the Celtics see his value elsewhere on the floor - screening, DHO's, short-roll, etc...I do hope we see him taking a few from deep this season, though!
I'm from Maine and go to a lot of the G-lg games. Luke played 10 games in 21-22" season and launched 35 3's in those 10 games, only hitting 11 (31.4%) but his aggressiveness stuck out to me. His FT shooting makes me think he could still be pretty successful and when teams sag off him when he has the ball at the top of the key, I'd love to see defenses have to defend him up there, opening up the lane. To be honest, I didn't realize he stopped shooting 3's that long ago lol. I should have looked before asking I guess. Thanks for responding and ty for the great article.
I would like to see him add a couple of 3s per game, too...Especially as he's shown he can make them...And not at all, man...I thought it was a good question, it made me have to go back and check when he changed his approach! I'm jealous to get to go to Maine games, too!
Any news on the sale and potential buyers?
No sir. I haven't seen anything new being reported on that front.
