Great analysis AT! I think JT read your shooting review in the offseason :). C's have often struggled vs younger quicker teams but have been lucky that most are bad shooting teams. Remember when Orlando ran us off the court a few times? Think Springer is the odd man out, just buried too deep. Would be interesting if he is moved and Walker signed still leaving 15 open for a mobile big
Sorry for the slow reply, John! I was out for my wife's Master's Degree graduation yesterday. JT has definitely improved! I could only wish he read my stuff, though lmao. I do think Springer may be on borrowed time, not sure who they would add at the 15th spot if Lonnie took the 14th, though...And even Lonnie is looking less likely now.
Congrats to your wife! Once again last night Springer not taking advantage of his court time. Loved Walsh on Giannis, thought he stepped up to the challenge, even JB praised him. Think Walsh is going to be a D White like monster on D, still like 20 I think
The transition D definitely was not good, but a lot of that is a credit to Ivey. He looks like he's finally figuring out how to use his speed. Celtics were not able to slow him down.
That's a fair point. Ivey is ridiculous in the open court! My concern stems from the Wizards game, too, though. In the last two outings, the Celtics have looked weakest when guarding the open floor. Still super early in the season, so plenty of time to figure things out, though,
It seems like some teams are going to try to do what the Pacers tried, but hoping to execute better and/or catch the Cs on a bad shooting night, which is try to run them out of the gym. Most of the time the Cs should be able to keep it close and then out-execute opponents in crunch time, that’s the hope anyway I think?
